Nadine Coyle is planning to try her luck on the US music scene

You've got to hand it to Nadine Coyle: she's certainly gutsy.

Fresh from her humiliation in the UK charts and the news that Cheryl Cole is headed for US stardom, the Girls Aloud escapee is planning an assault on the American music scene - as a country singer.

Nadine, 25, has told her friends that the reason her debut album and single, both called Insatiable, flopped is because the British public ‘don't get' her.

So she's planning a new album with a country feel for the American market.

‘Nadine's refusing to give up on her dream,' a friend of the Coyle family tells Now.

‘She reckons she'll have more chance in the States, where talent and singing ability count. Her life's in America now and she'd happily never return to the UK after such a hostile reception.'

Nadine's even told pals she'd like to be as big as Taylor Swift.
