Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2011 Paris Fashion Week

The Alexander McQueen Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2011 show took place during Paris Fashion Week on October 5, 2010 in Paris, France. It is the debut collection of designer Sarah Burton, who was appointed by the Gucci Group to serve as the new creative director of the late Alexander McQueen’s label.






Sarah Burton, who spent 15 years working with McQueen, stated to WWD that she planned to move away from McQueen’s theatrics and her designs would be softer. She succeeded in her goal and yet, the collection still seemed as if McQueen touched each piece.
