Cheryl Cole has bought a new London home

Cheryl Cole has cemented her special friendship with fellow X Factor judge Simon Cowell - by moving in almost next door to him.
The Promise This singer, 27, has bought a £2 million luxury apartment just a stone's throw away from Simon's West London home.
'She is over the moon to have a place that will be her safe haven in the UK,' a friend reveals.
Cheryl lived in a rural mansion near Godalming in Surrey with ex-husband Ashley Cole, but she wants to be in the capital, close to her mates - including the 51-year-old music mogul.
She is expected to join Simon on the panel for The X Factor in America - after landing a £3 million deal to cross the pond - so will need to get the packing crates out again.
'She is thrilled to be living near him,' the friend tells the Mail On Sunday, 'and will be looking for a place to rent in LA that's not far from him, too.'
